Please join us on Thursday, March 31st in McCosh 10 for a lecture with Dr. Mary Anne Layden, a psychotherapist and author based at the University of Pennsylvania, where she directs the Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program as well as the Social Action Committee for Women’s Psychological Health.

She will be speaking on her research, which highlights the harmful effects of the pornography industry on sexually exploited women.

Lecture 2/11: John Van Epp on Healthy Relationships

Join the Anscombe Society for our spring semester lecture, held in McCosh 10 at 4:30pm on Thursday, February 11th. Dr. Van Epp is the author of the popular book How to Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk and has developed the Relationship Attachment Model, grounded in years of research. He has been featured in numerous publications including TIME and Psychology Today. The lecture is free, open to the public, and will be followed by a Q&A session.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, students on campus face the prospect of navigating romantic interests in an environment saturated by the hookup culture and suffering from the lack of a social script regarding dating. Last month in the Princeton Alumni Weekly, Mary Hui wrote about “Finding Love at Princeton,” highlighting some of the ways in which students on campus interact with dating culture – or the lack of it.

We hope that the event will be engaging and informative for a wide cross-section of the Princeton community. Looking forward to seeing you there!
